Meta and YouTube found liable of negligence in social media addiction trial

Meta and Google were found liable of negligence after they were accused of deliberately designing addictive apps that harm young users. The plaintiff, known by her initials K.G.M., will be awarded $3 million in damages. NBC News’ Misty Marris and Brian Cheung break down the trial.
